Disc Dogs in Southern California in conjunction with the UFO are proud to present a UFO Major World Cup Series Disc Dog Tournament
Bring your furry friend along for some exciting family fun. Beginners and advanced competitors are welcome.

Schedule:
Registration/check-in begins at 7:30am. The competitor's meeting will be at 8:45am and the event will start shortly thereafter. NO LATE REGISTRATION IS ALLOWED.
Divisions/Fees:
The divisions will include Novice Throw & Catch ($10), Intermediate Throw & Catch ($15), Intermediate Freestyle ($15), Open Throw & Catch ($15), Open Freestyle ($15) and Open Combined (Open Throw & Catch + Open Freestyle $30 total).
Format - UFO Major Tournament:
Novice Throw & Catch: Novice handlers are considered to be those people that are competing in their first year. Novice is NOT for experienced handlers playing with new dogs. If that is you, enter a higher division. The novice division includes two rounds of Throw & Catch.
Intermediate Throw & Catch: The Intermediate Throw & Catch division is for experienced handlers and includes two rounds of Throw & Catch.
Intermediate Freestyle: The Intermediate Freestyle division includes one round of Freestyle and one round of Throw & Catch.
Open Throw & Catch: The Open Throw & Catch division is for experienced handlers and includes one round of Throw & Catch. The top ten teams advance to a second round of Throw & Catch.
Open Freestyle: The Open Freestyle division includes one round of Freestyle. The top ten teams advance to a second round of Freestyle.
Open Combined: The Open Combined division includes both Open Freestyle Open Throw & Catch.
Throw & Catch: The scoring zones will be at the 15, 25, & 35 meter lines with awarded points being 1, 2, & 3 respectfully. The time limit will be 60 seconds using a single disc.
Freestyle: This freeform round which is choreographed to music will be judged on a standard 40 point scoring system. The time limit will be 120 seconds for the Open division and 90 seconds for the Intermediate division, using up to seven discs.
Handlers with multiple dogs: Handlers must enter all dogs in the same level of competition. For example, a Novice competitor must enter all dogs in Novice Throw & Catch. An Intermediate competitor must enter all dogs in the Intermediate Throw & Catch and Intermediate Freestyle divisions. An Open competitor must enter all dogs in the Open Throw & Catch and Open Combined divisions.
