D2ISC Club Championship Point Series Guide

Disc Dogs in Southern California recognizes a Club Champion based on a points series. Points are accumulated from placements at California events. Four events held in California are opportunities for teams to earn points towards the title which include the UFO Major, Skyhoundz Southwest Regional, US Disc Dog West Coast Nationals and the Crusty Classic. The top three scores that a team acquires will be counted with the lowest score of the four events being disregarded. This rule is in effect because a competitor may have to judge at a point series event. Points are awarded to a team based on the division that the team enters at a given event. Teams must be members of D2ISC to receive points. Any team can win the D2ISC Club Championship title. A team is defined as one handler with one dog. A handler can compete with more than one dog which is considered another team. This is an overall club championship and not a championship per division.

Ties (at events) will be dealt with as follows. People tied will have their Championship points added together, and divided by the number of people tied. Example: There is a tie for 4th place among 2 people. The points for fourth and fifth are added (8 + 7 = 15) and then divided by 2, to get 7.5 points for each person.

Ties in the D2ISC Club Championship point standings are not broken.

Non-club members are not eligible for points. Their placement at individual events will be skipped for the purpose of distributing points.

Rookie of the Year

D2ISC will also recognize a Rookie team of the year. The Rookie of the Year title will be based on the highest finishing rookie team in the D2ISC club championship. A Rookie is defined as a member that has joined D2ISC no sooner then August 1st of the previous year.
