Disc Dog Training Clinics & Playdays

D².I.S.C. Training Clinics are always open to everyone, member or not! We hold playdays, have potlucks, hold small contests with prizes and practice for upcoming contests. In addition we offer plenty of one on one training to help the new person get involved in this sport. Its a great way to spend time bonding with your canine in addition to meeting some fantastic people with the same interests as you!

This clinic is free to all club members but we are now charging for non-members to attend these clinics at $5.00 per team (dog and handler), which includes a free disc for all.

Our Clinics are also held in numerous venues throughout Southern California, so if travel is a question, check this page often, we might just be holding a Clinic in your neck of the woods!

Our next Clinic of 2017 will be held on Saturday November 4th, 2017. Set-up starts at 8:30am and the activities begin at 9:00am and end at 1:00pm.

In an effort to hold our Clinics in different locations, this event will be held at the following location:

Why Dogs Fly Ranch
304 Calle de la Paloma
Fallbrook, CA 92028

For those dogs & their owners looking for disc dog training, well you're in luck. D2ISC will be having a clinic on Nov. 4th Saturday in Fallbrook at Why Dogs Fly sport dogs facility. It's free to all D2ISC members & only $5.00 for non members (which includes a disc). All dogs must be contained by crate, pen, or leash and the dog can only be off leash during their work out time. For novice, we can test your dog for off leash training. Make sure you pickup after your dog. This clinic is open to all levels of disc dogging. The clinic will start at 9am till 1:00pm but setup time is 8:30 am. There is limited parking at the field but there is more parking at the school lot close by. We will be selling drinks on site and all proceeds will be going to the Why Dogs Fly facility for providing their home for this event. We also recommend you bring snacks or a lunch since there aren't many eating places close by. Hope to see you all on the field!

This clinic is open to the public but we do need all dogs to be in control. So if you never had your dog off leash, we recommend you bring a long lead to make sure your dog is in your control when the dog attempts to run away. It's also mandatory to pickup after your dog and please bring water for you and your pup.

This clinic will have all levels of training from novice to advanced. We will always start our clinic with throwing technique and warm-ups. We will also work on handler and dog communication.

Remember you do not have to be a member to come out and have fun at our Clinics!

As a reminder, please bring chairs, drinks, water for your pups, something to pick up after the dogs and some sort of shade if you have that available, i.e. an ez-up, beach umbrella etc. Also, a first aid kit is always a plus. There will be plenty of dogs at this play day so unless you are involved in a training session or involved in a competition, we ask that your dog remains leashed or crated at all times as a courtesy to everyone attending this Clinic. Thanks for understanding.
